I purchased this gorgeous nail powder from the Born Pretty website. I ordered the 0.8g container. If you’re interested you can purchase it from their website here “Born Pretty Neon Chameleon Powder“. It came with an eyeshadow applicator as well. I tried to get some good pictures of the powder in the container. The camera just can’t do it justice. It is so pretty and sparkly.
As usual, before starting I recommend having something down on your work surface that cleans up easily. Applying these types of powders can get a little messy. I used my TwinkledT Glamour Mat. You can purchase it directly from their website here “TwinkledT Glamour Mat“. I have a fluffy brush handy to dust off any remaining powder from my fingers and nails.

Application
First I started by applying 2 coats of gel color to each swatch stick. I did a white, pink, blue, purple and black swatch. Then I put a no-wipe top coat on each swatch. This powder texture is more like a fine glitter than a fine powder. When I used an eyeshadow applicator, the applicator started to fall apart while I was rubbing and buffing. I tried one of my silicone tools. It actually worked better at rubbing and buffing this texture powder in. After buffing the powder, I dusted off any excess powder from the swatch. I do this for two reasons. Reason one is to keep the product from getting in my gel top coat bottle. Reason two is when you leave the excess powder on the nail, it can look more like glitter than a mirror type effect. Lastly, I top coated each swatch. Here are 2 pictures of the finished swatches!
As you can see the colors are so pretty. Depending upon the light, each base color shows different hints of color. The white base reminds me of a white abalone shell or a mother of pearl shell. I see hints of purple, pink and blue. The pink base I see hints of purple and gold. The blue base I see purple and gold. The purple base I see gold and green. The black base the gold and green are really prevalent.
My Thoughts
I really like this neon chameleon nail powder. There are so many ways to use this. You can transform any base color easily with this product. My favorite base color to put this over is white. I just love the look and the colors that reflect. I have done a few looks with this nail powder already. This is definitely a product I’m glad to have in my arsenal.
