NBJ Essentials Cuticle Oils Review

Hello nail art enthusiasts!  Cold weather is here and it’s time to bundle up.  This time of year it is important to keep your skin hydrated, as the cold winter air can really dry it out.  In order to help with that, I purchased some cuticle oils from NBJ Essentials.  Nails by Jen, is a nail tech in Canada and I have followed and watched her Youtube videos and other social media for awhile.  When she created these oils, I knew I wanted to try them.  She has staple scents as well as seasonal scents.  They are available in 3 sizes, 2ml mini sample dropper bottle, 10ml travel tube, and 15ml dropper bottle.  She custom blends and hand pours her products, so you know a lot of love and hard work went into them.  Keep reading to see what I got.

The Packaging

Packaging isn’t everything, but it sure is nice when it’s pretty.  I love pink, so of course I loved her paper.  She included a hand written note on her card which is a nice personal touch.  The items were secure in the box and the package came really quick.  I just love nail mail days!

What’s In The Box?!

I ordered 2 cuticle oils in the 10ml travel tubes.  I chose Summer Vibes that has notes of lemon, strawberry, cotton candy, vanilla, melon, pineapple, peach, and coconut.  I believe this is a staple scent that you can get at any time of year.  The scent is amazing!  Not one scent overpowers another.  They all work together harmoniously to create a yummy smell.  The next scent I chose is Pumpkin Crème Brulée which is a Fall limited edition scent.  There are notes of maple, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, rum and vanilla.  This scent is a little more potent than the Summer Vibes, but not overpowering.  It smells like a hot cup of fall!  Both oils apply nicely and leave my cuticles hydrated.  I even put a little oil in my palm and use a little unscented lotion to make my hands smell good.  The cuticle oils have a beautiful shimmer in the bottle, (so shake before each use)but it doesn’t leave any residue on the skin or nails if you’re concerned about that.  The travel tubes have a doe foot applicator which helps to make applying the oil precise.

My Thoughts

I love these cuticle oils and will be ordering more for sure.  I find myself remembering to apply them more often because they smell so good.  This is great for me since my skin tends to dry out easily from everyday chores.  It is wonderful to find cuticle oils that not only hydrate the skin, but also smell amazing.  It’s also nice to support small businesses and especially that of a person who I’ve watched their content for a long time.  Jen has come out with some additional products on her website like whipped sugar scrubs so go check out her website NBJ Essentials.
