Hello nail art enthusiasts! It’s been a bit since I’ve posted. Normal day to day live takes front stage, so lots of other things get put on the back burner. At least for me. Anywho, I do have the new Morgan Taylor Pure Beauty collection for Spring 2023 for you guys today. I’m always excited when new collections come out. It’s fun to see what each brand has come up with as far as formulas and color stories. This collection is a good one! They were so creamy and easy to apply. Let’s get into the swatch and review!
Bed of Petals
Bed of Petals is a bright medium pink crème. It’s not too bright that it would be considered a summer color, but it’s the brightest color in this collection. The application was creamy and was opaque in 2 coats. I love pink so this one was a hit for me.
Leaf It All Behind
Leaf It All Behind is a warm toned green crème that definitely has some yellow in it. It is a spring grass green. This application was also creamy and opaque in 2 coats. Another perfect spring color.
Malva
Malva is medium pink toned purple that is a little on the dusty side. It has some muted gray tones to it. I noticed that this color dries darker on the nail than in the bottle. This was creamy and opaque in 2 coats.
Pretty Simple
Pretty Simple is a light bone beige crème with just a smidgeon of pink in it. You can also see a fuchsia shimmer in the bottle, but that shimmer does not show up on the nail. The shimmer may be what gives it that pink hue. This was another hit for me because it is such a light color but applied fantastically for such a light color. This was opaque in 2 coats.
Radiant Renewal
Radiant Renewal is a medium coral pink crème. There is a muted dustiness to this color as well. Reminds me of a flower garden during a rainstorm. This was creamy and opaque in 2 coats.
Test the Waters
Test the Waters is a stormy medium blue crème with gray tones to it. This color is reminiscent of rainy skies. It is cool-toned and one of my favorites. This was creamy and opaque in 2 coats.
My Thoughts
I really enjoyed this collection. All of the colors were so creamy and easy to apply. There was no finicking with application to smooth out any shadows or patchiness. The crème formulas by Morgan Taylor are just so nice to work with. I really liked all of the colors, although my favorites from this collection were Bed of Petals, Pretty Simple and Test the Waters.
