China Glaze Cali Dreams Spring 2021 Collection

Hello nail art enthusiasts!  Are you yearning for warmer weather and sandals to show off your fresh pedi?  I know I am!  That’s why I am eager to try the China Glaze Cali Dreams Spring 2021 Collection.  There are 8 dreamy crème colors in this collection.  We have a nude, some light and some bright colors to try on.  So without further ado,  let’s get started.

I’m No Tourist

I’m No Tourist is a light tan crème with peach undertones.  It is the nude/neutral of this collection.  It appears a little more yellow against my skin tone than it looks in the bottle.  It was just a tad streaky for me in the first coat, but the second coat evened out nicely and gave me full coverage.

Vacay Dreams

Vacay Dreams is a light peachy-pink crème.  This color too looks a little more warm toned against my skin than in the bottle.  It was a little streaky on the first coat, but the second coat evened out and gave me full coverage.

Sunset Crew

Sunset Crew is a bright coral pink crème.  In my opinion, this color looks the same on my nails as it did in the bottle.  It was just barely streaky on the first coat.  The second coat applied nicely and gave me full coverage.

Tangerine Heat

Tangerine Heat is a bright light to medium orange crème.  On my nails it looks a little more warm toned and darker than it appears in the bottle.  It was streaky on the first coat, but after the second coat it evened out and gave me full coverage.

Live in the Mo-mint

Live in the Mo-mint is a light minty blue-green crème.  Against my skin, it definitely pulls more of the green tones out, but in the bottle or on a nail swatch stick, more of the blue tones show.  When I put it next to Shore Feels Good, it looks like a pale blue.  It was a little streaky on the first coat, but evened out and gave me full coverage on the second coat.

Shore Feels Good

Shore Feels Good is a bright but a tad darker robins egg blue crème.  I feel like it looks the same on my nails as it does in the bottle.  The first coat was a little streaky, but the second coat evened out and gave me full coverage.

Surfside Skies

Surfside Skies is a light periwinkle crème.  This leans a little more blue than purple.  I feel the color was pretty close to the same on my nails as it was in the bottle.  It was streaky on the first coat, but the second coat smoothed out and gave me full coverage.

My Thoughts

This collection consisted of all crèmes, which doesn’t bother me since that’s my favorite formula.  The consistency of all of the polishes wasn’t too runny or too thick.  China Glazes’ new wider brush makes the polish easier to apply.  I own many older colors that have the old brush, and  I have to admit it wasn’t my favorite when applying.  I like the array of colors in this collection.  There is a shade that most anyone will like.  You have the lighter colors for spring and the brighter colors that can take you into summer.  My favorites are Sunset Crew, Shore Feels Good, and Surfside Skies.  Which one or ones do you like?
