Cuccio MaxPro Mini LED Lamp Review

Hello nail art enthusiasts!  I have been getting questions about nail lamps and where to start.  For someone first getting into gel polish and doing it at home, finding a good relatively inexpensive nail lamp can be overwhelming.  There are so many brands and prices all over the internet, so what do you choose?  Since we carry these lamps at the JenaesNails website, I wanted to test the lamp and let you guys know how it performs.  Keep reading to see what I think about this nail lamp.

What’s in the box?  In the box you get the mini lamp, the usb power cord and the instructions.  The center button is the power button.  You press once for a 30 second mode and double click for a 60 second mode.  There are six lights that cure.  There is no power adapter.  For me, this wasn’t an issue because my desk lamp has a usb port, but I just want to let people know that one will be needed.  The usb power cord is 31 1/2 inches long.  The instructions are short and sweet. So there is not a whole lot that comes in the box.

Since this is a mini lamp, you need to cure your four fingers separate from your thumbs.  But as you can see in the photo, there is enough room for the four fingers.  I tilted my hand so all of my nails were under the lights.  My middle finger is much longer than my pinky, so tilting my hand was necessary.  I went through every brand of gel polish colors and top coats that I own to see how they would cure in the lamp.  I chose light colors, dark colors, etc to get a good range of samples.  These are the brands of gel I own and tried with this lamp.  Every brand and color with the exception of the CND Shellac, cured in 30 seconds.  I applied the CND Shellac a little thick so it took longer to cure.

My Thoughts

I like this lamp.  It is small and compact but it does what it is supposed to do.  It doesn’t come with a power adapter which may be a downfall for some people.  However, if you have one already, it will work with any usb power adapter.  The lamp cured most of my gels that I own with no issues in 30 seconds.  The only one I had to cure for 60 seconds was the CND Shellac, and I had applied the gel a little thick.  This lamp is good for anyone, whether you’re just starting out with gel,  or you’ve been doing gel polish for awhile and just want an extra lamp.  You can pick up this mini nail lamp here Cuccio Max Pro mini Nail Lamp.  I hope this post is helpful for you guys!
