Hello nail art enthusiasts! I have the Cuccio Colour Rainbow Sorbet Collection for swatch and review. This is their Summer 2020 collection, so I know this is a little late into summer but I liked the colors and had to try them. I have not tried Cuccio before so this is also a first impression for me as well. There are 8 colors in this collection. Some of the colors look like a pastel neon to me. The colors remind me of when I was little and going down to the drug store to get an ice cream cone. All of the colors and flavors would overwhelm me, and I would take forever to pick out the flavors and how many scoops I wanted! Will these colors make me feel like a kid again? Punch Sorbet
Punch Sorbet is a bright neon pink creme with a slight coral undertone. The formula does dry quickly, and it can be patchy. It was a bit sheer but it evened out by the third coat. This is 3 coats with a top coat.
Dragon Fruit Sorbet
Dragon Fruit Sorbet is a slightly darker bright neon pink creme. This was a little easier to work with than Punch and the color was extremely similar, but they are different. It has the same finicky formula so it was sheer and patchy but did even out by the third coat. This is 3 coats with a top coat.

As you can see, the colors are very similar but not the same. Punch is lighter with a little more of a coral undertone. Dragon Fruit is a little darker and more of a hot fuchsia pink.
Cotton Candy Sorbet
Cotton Candy is a cool-toned light pink creme with some purple undertones. When I see the name cotton candy, I was expecting a lighter pale pink, but this is a pretty color still. This was a little sheer and patchy but did even out by the third coat for me. You may be able to get this opaque in 2 coats with short nails and a light hand. This is 3 coats with a top coat.
Lavender Sorbet
Lavender Sorbet is a light purple creme. It’s a little darker than Cotton Candy and slightly warmer. This is more pigmented than some of the other colors and a little easier to work with, so it was opaque in 2 coats. This is 2 coats with a top coat.
Blueberry Sorbet
Blueberry Sorbet is a sky blue or baby blue creme. This formula was the easiest to work with. It was a tad bit sheer on the first coat, but by the second coat is was opaque. This is 2 coats with a top coat.
Mint Sorbet
Mint Sorbet is a cool-toned pastel green creme. This bottle had the same sheerness and patchiness on the first two coats as most of the other polishes so it took three coats to even out. This is 3 coats with a top coat.
Pistachio Sorbet
Pistachio Sorbet is a pastel lemon lime green creme. This was pretty sheer and patchy for me on the first two coats, so it took three to get opaque. This is 3 coats with a top coat.
Peach Sorbet
Peach Sorbet is a bright light orange cream color. This surprised me with how bright it was while also being like a pastel. As with most of the other polishes in this collection, I need 3 coats to get this opaque. This is 3 coats with a top coat.
My Thoughts
I like all of the colors in this collection. They definitely brought me back to my childhood days. While I was trying the different colors, it made me remember Lisa Frank school supplies, the colors and the artwork. Now that’s dating myself! All of the polishes are creme formulas. Some are easier to work with than others. I do prefer 2 coaters, and even though most of the colors in this collection require 3 coats, that won’t deter me from using them. In my opinion, Punch, Dragon Fruit and Peach are like pastel neons, the rest are pastels. I would like to do some type of ombré with these. I think there are some pretty color combos that can be done. Hopefully this review was informative.
