China Glaze Hello, Sugar! Spring 2023 Swatch and Review

Hello nail art enthusiasts!  I have another swatch and review for you.  Spring weather has still not arrived where I am or for much of us!  It’s been raining, snowing and gloomy!  I’m hoping China Glazes’ new for spring 2023 collection Hello, Sugar! will change that.  There are 6 crème colors in this collection that will satisfy your craving for some sweets!  Let’s dive in and see what I think.

Gimme Suga

Gimme Suga is a bright pastel but neon peachy coral crème.  It was a little patchy on the first and second coats, so I did do three coats for this photo.  The formula is a little thicker and dries semi matte like many neon formulas.  I liked this color so much, that I didn’t mind doing three coats.

Here For The Candy

Here For The Candy is a light pink crème with purple undertones.  It was a little patchy on the first coat, but was opaque in two coats.  This color pink is right up my alley.  I do like cool-toned pinks.  It wasn’t as “neon” as the other colors in this collection, but still bright.  The formula on this one wasn’t as thick as some of the others so it was a little easier to apply.

Holy Sugar!

Holy Sugar! is right.  This is a pastel neon banana yellow crème.  It was a patchy on both the first and second coat, so I did three coats.  However, my brush was wonky, so that could have played a part in application.  I’m not the biggest fan of yellow polish, but this is such a nice color.

Kid In A Candy Store

Kid In A Candy Store is a medium pink neon crème.  This one dries the most matte out of the colors.  This was opaque in two coats and will be perfect for the summer time as well.  This is a great color for pedicures and made my skin look like I had a little tan!

Sugar Junkie

Sugar Junkie is a bright magenta pink crème.  This has more of a jelly formula, so it was the easiest to apply.  It was almost a one coater, but I did do two coats for the photo.

Sweeta Than Suga

Sweeta Than Suga is a neon orange coral crème.  This has more orange in it than Gimme Suga, but I would still classify it as a coral and not an orange.  This was opaque in two coats.  This was so bright, it made my pale skin look like I had a tan.

My Thoughts

PICK UP THIS COLLECTION!  I liked every color in this spring collection.  Even though there isn’t a big range of colors, this color story is really good and does remind me of candy.  Most of the colors are a neon pastel, so they are a little thicker to work with but still easy to apply.  (As long as your brush isn’t wonky!)  I cannot wait to put some of these on my toes.  These colors will also carry you into summer as well since they are so bright.  You can grab a few or the whole collection from my store China Glaze Hello, Sugar!
