Lilac Orchid Nails

Hello nail art enthusiasts!  I’m bringing you my latest nail design.  I wanted something simple and pretty.  I had a bright lilac gel that I’ve been wanting to try out, so that was my basis for this latest nail look.  Stamping is the fastest easiest way to add a little something extra, so I dug through my plates to pick a tried and true design that I love to use.  Keep reading to see the products I used to complete this design.

Creating the Look

So since I knew I was going to stamp, it was just a matter of finding which plate and design I wanted.  I chose an image that I have used plenty of times before.  I like it because it’s simple and doesn’t have too much going on.  First, I started by applying two coats of the lilac gel polish to all but my ring fingers.  Next, I applied two layers of white gel polish to my ring fingers.  After the second coat was done curing, I wiped my nails clean with rubbing alcohol.

I used a medium purple stamping polish to stamp the design onto my nails.  Since I don’t have a stamping polish that is even close to the gel polish color that I used, I decided to fill in the orchids with the gel polish.  I left an outline of the darker stamping polish to give it some depth.  I used a fine detail brush to do this.  Then using that same fine detail brush, I used some silver stamping gel and made little dots around the nail for a little more detail.  Finally, I applied gel top coat to all of my nails.

I enjoyed this nail look.  It was simple and quick to create.  I’m hoping to create some more looks using nail tips since we are stuck indoors and I can only do my own nails so many times.  I hope everyone stays healthy and is washing their hands!

Let me know with the nail designs, do you want me to only put the picture and the products used or keep semi detailing how I completed the look?  Comment below.
